                    Time to put up our SIP panels....... DAY 1 The day finally came and we have started to put our walls up. This drone shot was taken just before all the panels arrived. The framing layed out in the pic below is some of the internal frames that Gav has made up ready so when wall panels are up there is no wasted time in getting the internal frames up and ready to get the mid floor and roof panels on. Thanks Gary for the Drone shot! Rod Yeoman and Liam from SIPS Direct came over for the day to get us going and tweak out any teething problems.... Thank goodness as it was 100% what we needed to get us going on the right track and showing us the tricks of the trade. So now for the good bit, here is a time lapse that Gary took on day one...  We have Sips Panels!! Yay, good news, my gorgeous fab sip panels from Sips Direct have arrived.  Huge thanks to Dean from WSL Ltd for the delivery of the sips panels and thanks to Shane the driver who was super careful with our precious loads! Also massive thanks to Rod from Sips Direct, although we have had our fair share of hiccups along the way, what with the sips machine delays and problems, Rod and the team got it done and made our panels by hand. Like almost everything else out there material cost have gone up and we had to pay more than we budgeted for.   SIPS stands for structual insulated panel systems. Our super insulated panels  which happen to be perfect for building airtight warm and healthy homes are our walls and roof. Obviously they will be exteria clad but the internal smooth surface will be the finished product. We are just sussing out how to lift the super heavy panels into place as cost effectively as possible!! We will hopefully be able to get t...

Windows arrived about a month ago! My apologies for not keeping you updated!  Reason being ... along with many others we have had a rough year regarding the build, however cup half full we are moving forward and finally not only the  windows arrived, something big has come too but more about that later. Lets get the negatives out the way... We had our new concrete water tanks and septic installed and with all the heavy rain one of the tanks popped out of the ground so we will have dig them out and check there is no damage and then reinstate them after any repairs (if needed). And yes the plumber did put water in them! We will wait for dryer weather to fix that problem. I got scammed by a shipping container seller, yep just like the one on fairgo but not the same scammers! The scammer guy filled me up with a beaut story about how his son is in hospital with covid and his whole family was in isolation, so therefore I could no longer view the shipping containers.
